Ryan Mynard is an attorney in the Florida Panhandle with strong local roots to the area. Mr. Mynard grew up in Crestview, Florida and still calls it “home” today. After leaving the area for college and law school, Mr. Mynard returned to Crestview to be close to his family and serve the friends, neighbors, and citizens of the community and surrounding area he loves. He has a passion for the people of the Florida Panhandle and is committed to promptly and properly meeting their legal needs.

Since being admitted to the Florida Bar in 1998, Mr. Mynard has diligently worked to protect his clients’ interests and prepare them for the future. Mr. Mynard focuses his practice on helping those who have estate planning, probate, real estate, or business/corporate needs. While these areas of practice may seem different from each other, Mr. Mynard has found that in most instances they often intersect.

Mr. Mynard graduated cum laude from the University of South Alabama in 1995 with Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and English. In 1998, Mr. Mynard graduated from the Mississippi College School of Law. During law school, Mr. Mynard worked for over two years as a legal intern at the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office in Jackson, Mississippi. While working at the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office, Mr. Mynard was witness to the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement, originally between the four largest United States tobacco companies, Philip Morris Inc., R. J. Reynolds, Brown & Williamson and Lorillard, and the attorneys general of 46 states. This settlement was worth $246 billion to the states, including $4.1 billion for Mississippi.

Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Mynard worked for the Office of the Pubic Defender for the First Judicial Circuit. In the course of serving the citizens of the Florida Panhandle as a public defender, Mr. Mynard gained valuable courtroom experience while representing over 5,000 clients in over 50 criminal trials. In 2006, Mr. Mynard opened the offices of Ryan M. Mynard, Attorney at Law, P.A. While in private practice, Mr. Mynard has been recognized on two occasions by Legal Services of North Florida for providing pro bono legal services for those who cannot afford legal representation. In 2012, Mr. Mynard began representing individuals and businesses who suffered losses as a result of the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010. Through the federal class action lawsuit which resulted in Deepwater Horizon Economic and Property Damages Settlement, Mr. Mynard was able to recover over $75,000,000.00 in damages for the people and businesses of the Florida Panhandle and surrounding areas.
